British journalist James Miller is ruthlessly killed while filming a documentary in Palestine with 60 Minutes foreign correspondent Lara Logan. Miller himself was killed as his unarmed team approached an Israeli night patrol waving a white flag. Guerilla tactics, like this, are often employed by Muslim fundamentalists in the war zone Miller and Logan were filming in. Miller's fatal mistake was in not realizing the severity of the situation until it was far too late.

Remembering Buddy Gray

The energy that was born while he was still in his 20's never really dissipated and was there right until the end when on November 15, 1996, he was shot while he sat in the Drop Inn Center as he looked up to welcome a friend and stared down the barrel of a handgun instead. Stanislav Markelov was shot to death in January of 2009 while leaving a news conference in Moscow less than half a mile from the Kremlin. He was 34. Neo-nazi and nationalist hate groups in Russia are called a dark secret within the former Soviet Union. Their existence is down-played by the new, leaner Russian government as inconsequential.
